Setting Your Availability

Keeping your availability up to date on your profile helps hiring managers connect with you for the right opportunities, whether you’re actively seeking new roles or focusing on current projects. Here’s a guide to managing your availability settings effectively.


Availability Options

  1. Available to Work
    • Visibility: When set to “Available,” your profile is visible to hiring managers when matched with jobs.
    • Notifications: You’ll be notified when a job that matches your skills and preferences becomes available.
  2. Unavailable
    • Visibility: When set to “Unavailable,” hiring managers won’t see your profile in job matches. However, you’ll still be able to view and apply to relevant job openings.

How to Update Your Status

  1. Consultant Actions: You can switch your availability status from your profile at any time. For instance, if you’re finishing a project, updating to “Available” can help you prepare for the next role.
  2. Automatic Status Changes: Certain events will update your availability automatically
    • Job Awarded: Sets your status to “Unavailable” for the duration of the engagement.
    • Job Ending Soon: If your current role ends within the next two weeks, your status will update to “Available,” enabling hiring managers to reach out proactively.
