Responding to an Offer

Congratulations on receiving a job offer through HUGO! Here’s a simple guide on how to review and respond to your offer:

1. Log into Your HUGO Dashboard

Start by logging into your HUGO account. In the "Needs Your Attention" section, you’ll see Offers listed. Click on the "Offers" section to view your exciting new opportunities!

2. Select the Job Offer

Click on the job offer you’d like to review. This will display all the important details of the job, including the start date, end date, rate, time zone, and a personal message from the client. Take a moment to review the offer and see if it aligns with your career goals.

3. Enter Your Response

Once you’ve reviewed the details, click on "Enter Response". A modal will open, showing the full offer information so you can make your decision.

4. Review the Offer Details

In the offer modal, you’ll find:

  • Start and End Dates
  • Hourly Rate or Salary
  • Timezone and Work Hours
  • A personalized Message from the Client

Carefully review these details to ensure the opportunity is exactly what you're looking for.

5. Decide How You Want to Respond

Now that you’ve reviewed the offer, it’s time to make your decision. You can choose from one of these positive responses:

  • Accept the Offer: If everything looks great and you’re excited to move forward, simply click "Accept the offer" to confirm your acceptance.

  • Make a Counter Offer: If you’d like to adjust the terms (such as the rate, start date, or work hours), click "I’d like to make a counter". You’ll have the chance to propose your preferred terms. This is a great opportunity to get everything just right for you.

  • Decline the Offer: If the offer doesn’t quite meet your needs, select "Not Interested" to respectfully decline the offer. Remember, there are always more opportunities ahead that could be a better fit.

6. Submit Your Response

Once you’ve chosen your response, click "Submit My Response" to confirm your decision. This will send your response to the client and let you know the next steps.

7. Wait for Feedback

If you made a counteroffer, the client will review it and respond with either acceptance, adjustments, or further discussions. If you accepted the offer, congratulations again on your new role! The client will confirm the next steps with you.

Additional Tips:

  • Stay Positive: Whether you’re accepting, negotiating, or respectfully declining, maintain a positive and professional tone in your response. It sets the stage for great future collaborations!
  • Negotiating with ConfidenceWhen making a counteroffer, it’s your chance to express your value confidently. Share your reasoning clearly and be open to finding a win-win solution.
  • Enjoy the Process: Remember, responding to a job offer is an exciting step in your career journey. Embrace the process and feel good about the decisions you make!
